Work / Life Balance

Are you on your third cup of coffee on a Friday night checking your phone for work emails? If so, let’s talk about work-life balance and its importance. Many professionals and academics find it difficult to find the proper equilibrium between their professional and personal endeavors. Striving for a healthy work-life balance helps reduce stress levels, prevents burnout, and enhances productivity.

Burnout can arise when individuals continually experience chronic work-related stress, leading to negative mental health impacts such as anxiety and depression, as well as negative outcomes on physical health, including increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

At Still Counseling & Wellness, I have clinical and personal knowledge of how harmful burnout can be. Together, you and I can work to develop a healthy plan to help you detect signs of burnout, or decrease further symptoms.
